Early Music for the Festive Season

The churches, concert halls and music schools of this our city and Shire have much to offer in the way of early music during the festive season.

These all include at least some pre 17th century music, sometimes amid a mixed programme.

A Christmas Celebration Hampton Court Palace
Gabrieli are delighted to be returning to perform at Hampton Court Palace this December to perform a beautiful Christmas celebration programmed by our leader, Catherine Martin, featuring seasonal repertoire by Charpentier, Buxtehude, Torelli and Bach. Do join us for an afternoon of early and late Baroque repertoire in the beautiful, intimate Cartoon Gallery between midday and 3pm. The programme will include soprano Emma Walshe singing Bach ‘Susser trost, mein Jesus kommt’ from cantata 151 and the Coventry Carol.
