The Thamesreach Minstrels is an informal group aiming to bring medieval music to life at our events.
We sing extant medieval and renaissance songs in a variety of languages, as well as dabbling in ‘filks’ (mischievous SCA-related lyrics set to existing tunes).Most of our pieces are sung a capella, however we are open to all kinds of instruments and often include recorders and drum in our performances. The Minstrels are also happy to play to dancing.
All are welcome! You do not need to know anything about singing/music, though of course we also welcome those with instruments and experience.
