Our biggest annual event is Michaelmas – a weekend camp with combat, crafting and feasting.

London/Thamesreach Welcomes the Known World
The SCA Inc's board of directors meeting is to be held here in London in April and the Shire of Thamesreach looks forward to seeing old friends and new visitors from near and far as people travel to attend.
The shire will host social gatherings on both the Friday and Saturday evenings of the meeting weekend.
These events will not be in garb and there is no charge to attend, other than to buy your own food and drink.
Friday April 20, 7pm:
Meet us at the British Museum to take advantage of the Friday Late, followed by drinks at a local pub. We'll maintain a meeting point all evening near the Sutton Hoo finds in Room 41. Feel free to stay nearby to study and discuss the medieval and renaissance treasures or to explore the artefacts of other times and places (or indeed the gift and book shops). We'll then rendezvous at museum closing time and go for some refreshment.
You can spot me (Cecily) by the purple hair or (if there are multiple purple-haired persons in the vicinity) by the fact that I'll be holding a sketchbook bearing the Thamesreach device:
How to get to the museum: http://www.britishmuseum.org/visiting/getting_here.aspx
Please note, there's a bag search and sharp items (potentially even small craft snips) may be confiscated.
Saturday April 21, 7pm
Post-meeting social at the Swan Inn, Bayswater (3 tube stops, or a walk through the park, away from the meeting venue). We have a private function area of the pub to ourselves.
The BOD, staff and their families have accepted our invitation to this event.
A selection of medieval board and dice games will be available - a hard fought game of Nine Men's Morris with a stranger from a distant land is a great ice breaker!
The Swan Inn can be documented to 1721, which is the earliest date for it on the victualler's register, but it claims a longer history and local legend (and a plaque at the pub) suggests it was the final drinking place for prisoners headed for the Tyburn gallows.
