Accessible from all London airports.

Additional Transportation Details

For travellers flying to Crown...many roads lead through Stansted airport.

After some research, supplemented by good advice from Fru Johanna aff Hukka (kingdom travel advisor), it appears that if you're coming from a London airport, the most direct path to a train station close to the site is on a coach.

Train routes are either comperable prices, or cheaper, but involve more changes, and also mean you're travelling through London on Friday afternoon and evening, which is very busy.

The event staff can arrange local pickups from Hockley and Rayleigh stations to the site if you send your travel details to the event steward. Unannounced travellers take their chances!

From Stansted - easy connection

Stansted Flyer X30 bus from Stansted Airport to Raleigh Station.
£10 single, £15 return

If you haven't arranged a pickup w/ the event steward, try hailing a cab directly to the site.

Look around the station for a taxi stand, or ask the staff for a local minicab number.

Heathrow - moderate connection

FirstGroup run coaches connecting to other airports, including Stansted, and from Stansted you can pick up the Flyer X30 coach to Rayleigh.
Heathrow to Stansted takes 1.5-2 hrs, £26.00 return.

For Heathrow travellers on a budget (who have more time), you can take the Tube from Heathrow to Liverpool Street station (Zone 1-6 ticket, about £4.50).
Note: Terminal 4 Tube station is closed right now - use T1,2,3 or Hatton Cross stations. Look for local information at the station.
From Liverpool Street, catch train to Hockley station. An adult ticket is £16.00.

Tube route:
Piccadilly (royal blue) tube from Heathrow to Holborn
Change at Holborn for Central (red) tube to Liverpool Street Tube/Train station
Beware: there are stairs between platforms, and no guarantee of elevators.

Luton - moderate-to-fiddly connection (by train)

FirstGroup coach from Luton to Stansted is 1 hr 40 mins. £16.20 return
From Stansted, pick up the Flyer X30 coach to Rayleigh.

For Luton travellers on a budget: trains run from Luton to either London St. Pancras or Farringdon stations. These are joint Tube/Train stations, from which you would take the Circle (yellow) or Metropolitain (purple/brown) tube up to four stops to Liverpool Street. A zone 1 single ticket is about £2.
Again, there are stairs and some walking from platform to platform.

From Liverpool Street, catch train to Hockley station. An adult ticket is £16.00.
